3/19/2024 0 Comments Avid media composer 9I have already cancelled one of my two AVID perpetual license subscriptions. But the day is fast approaching for me to jump ship to the Adobe platform where a monthly subscription rewards the consumers with a host of very professional software programs. Over the years I have steadfastly refused to cut on rival platforms. In an increasingly competative marketplace, I feel AVID are taking their customers for granted. How is it that loyalty to AVID can be penalized? Surely there should be some incentive to taking up a 12 month plan? Where are the loyalty discount codes for customers who have invested so much over so many years? Why are new customers valued more highly? If I move to a month by month plan it's actually cheaper! If I was a new customer then I would be paying just £25 a month rather than the £40 I currently pay. To maintain my perpetual license cost me £480 for 12 months. As a long term Avid MC advocate, cutting on the platform since its very first version back in the day, I have to express some dismay at the ever increasing and seemingly unfair pricing policy for die hard, loyal customers.
